Wafer Type Swing Check Valve

Wafer Type Swing Check Valve, also called Dual Plate Wafer Check Valve, is contrast with normal Flange Type Swing Check Valve. It has several advantages.  

Wafer Check Valve Application:

    Wafer Check Valve is applicable for various pipelines with nominal pressure of PN1.0 MPa~42.0 MPa, Class 150-2500 and nominal diameter of DN15-1200mm, NPS 1/2"~48" and with  working temperature  -196 ~ 540 Deg C to protect from medium backflowing. The different materials selection can apply to the medium involving water, steam, oils, nitric acid, acetic acid, strong oxidizing medium and urea, etc.

Wafer Check Valve Structural Features:

1. Short Structural Length, only 1/4-1/8 of that of traditional flanged swing check valve.

2. Low Volume, light weight, only 1/4-1/20 of those of traditional flanged check valve.

3. Quick valve disc closedown, low water hammer pressure.

Fluid 

Resistance

Small, Fluid resistance coefficient of 2.6 to 0.7,

 with the valve diameter increases, 

the fluid resistance coefficient decreases

Low flow resistance coefficient is 1.3 -3, 

but under the condition of low pressure,

 the valve disc can not be completely opened, 

high fluid resistance.The resistance will be increased

 if the valve size increased.

Installation

Can be installed in horizontal or vertical installation, 

light weight, do not have to set the bearings for the valve

Can be installed in horizontal or vertical 

installation,the weight of heavy large 

diameter valves, bearings need to be set.

Opening

 Larger in larger valve can be fully opened 

under pressure

Reliability

The valve body is of integrated structure, simple and 

compact, small closed down impact, low water hammer pressure, long service life

and good reliability

The valve is closed and the huge impact of 

water hammer pressure is easy to 

damage the valve
