The selection of the safety valve’s working pressure grade.

Safety Valve working pressure, nominal pressure and the working pressure of the spring are totally different, which can’t be mixed together. Safety valve’s working pressure refers to the inlet pressure that the valve suffered when it’s working normally. It’s the same as the protected system or equipment’s working pressure. But the working pressure of the spring refers to the allowable working pressure range of this spring. Within this spring range, the safety valve’s opening pressure or setting pressure can be changed by means of changing the compression force of the spring. For safety valves with the same nominal pressure, there are several different working pressure grades according to the requirement of the spring design. Followings are some classifications, and the precondition of the classification should make sure that the upper limit and lower limit of the working pressure can meet the related standard.

While selecting safety valves, the working pressure grades should be confirmed according to their opening pressure.
